ITS TIME TO SHIFT FROM FEAR TO FAITH..Risk More & Fear Less part 1

13 years ago | 3502 Views

Every time you state what you want or believe, you are the first to hear it. It’s a message to both you and others about what you think is Possible. Don’t put a ceiling on yourself…. Oprah Winfrey

Have you ever noticed that Life is all about taking risks, making choices and doing your best when faced with adversity.  For those of us in the diaspora, taking risks is second nature.

All my life I have been taking risks – and guess what ..I’m still breathing despite the challenges.

Whenever I am facing challenges in my life – and they do come from time to time – I often find myself looking deep within for that fearless part of me to emerge. I also take time to reflect on the times I have taken risks and realize that it didn’t kill me…I am still here.

The fact is that until the day you die there is so much more that you need to do that may involve some form of risk because if you keep doing the same thing at all times you will continue to get the same results until you decide to take risks.

Well what’s the point of not living your best life, taking risks even when there appears to be darkness and roadblocks everywhere?

Then again while we’re thinking about risk let’s take a quick look at your life.

  • As a child when you started walking did you risk falling, or did you risk walking?
  • When you attended school and took the tests given to you by your teachers, did you risk failing or did you risk succeeding? (well not studying ..could be a definite
  • When you ran that race did you risk coming last, or did you risk winning?
  • When you went for your car license did you risk walking, or did you risk driving in traffic for the rest of your days?

·         When you met your spouse and decided to be together, did you risk being lonely or love ?

·

·         When you chose to work where you are were you risking your talents or not making a living? Maybe your risk meant making enough money to pay the bills

Remember This is Your Life, you will never pass this way again. The choice is yours to assess your life and ask yourself whether there is anything else you can do to enhance your life despite your circumstances. Its not what happens to us that matters it’s what we do with what happens to us that matters.
